A wax emulsion is a stable mixture of one or more waxes in water, made possible by High-Pressure Homogenization. Wax and water normally do not mix, but the use of surfactants can facilitate their combination.
The size and homogeneity of the emulsions have a significant impact on the stabilization of the droplets, further influencing the performance of the application. With the use of high-pressure homogenizers, we prevent phase separation.
